According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators discovered a significant amount of marijuana growing behind a residence on County Road 160 near Lindsey’s Store on Wednesday.  Investigators seized the marijuana and arrested Randy T. McGatha, 39, of Centre.  The suspect was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center on charges of trafficking marijuana, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
