According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators and deputies apprehended an individual wanted from the State of Georgia on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.  Warren Shannon, 31, of Cedartown was taken into custody on an Alabama fugitive from justice warrant and was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  The Polk County, Georgia, warrant was issued for terroristic threats.  Shannon was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he awaits bond on Cherokee County charges and extradition to Polk County.
