Suspect Hides Illegal Drugs in the Woods…

According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, on Saturday, October 8, 2016, Corporal Nick Vaughn and Deputy Sheldon Estes responded to a motor vehicle accident scene on County Road 29 in the Rock Run community.  A man involved in the accident appeared to hide something in the woods along the roadway.  Deputies searched that area and found synthetic marijuana, also known as “spice’.  When confronted, the suspect attempted to flee on foot, but he was apprehended by Deputy Estes.  Jahmaad Q. Hill, 25, of Oxford was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and attempting to elude a police officer.  Hill was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
