Sheriff’s Office Investigators Arrested 13 on Drug Charges

According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators arrested 13 individuals on various drug charges on Thursday, October 6, 2016.  While assisting a social worker from the Alabama Department of Human Resources at a residence on County Road 16, deputies and investigators found illegal drugs at the residence.  Misty D. Eastridge, 31, Erica S. Tyler, 20, Jessica L. Rogers, 28, Jerry E. Griffin, 46, Stephen R. Rohrbach, 35; Eric L. Rogers, 34, Jason T. Ragland, 27, all of Centre, and Bonnie F. Sims, 51, of Piedmont were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and second degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Investigators Jeremy Stepps and Tony Monroy arrested five more individuals later in the evening.  Carol A. Calaway, 48, of Cedar Bluff was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  Howard C. Neal, 53, of Cedar Bluff was arrested  and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and second degree unlawful possession of marijuana in addition to an existing bench warrant.  Jessie R. Houston, 48, and Terry V. Inman, 45, both of Gaylesville were charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and second degree unlawful possession of marijuana.  Jason C. Brown, 35, of Fort Payne was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and second degree unlawful possession of marijuana.  All of the suspects were transported and booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.
