Burglary Suspect Arrested in Sand Rock...

According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Cherokee County deputies arrested Todd Thomas Stone, 33, of Sand Rock in the early morning hours of Monday, May 2, 2016, in connection with two burglaries in the Sand Rock area.  Around 4:00 a.m., deputies received a call concerning an intruder at a residence.  When confronted by the homeowner, the suspect quickly exited the residence and ran into the woods.  Around 6:00 a.m., deputies received another intruder call at a different residence in the same area.  The homeowner discovered the man hiding under his house and held him at gunpoint until deputies arrived.  Corporal Gene Knowles and Deputy John Sentell took the suspect into custody and charged him with second degree burglary and attempted second degree burglary.  Stone remains in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting bond.
