Body of Drowning Victim Recovered From Weiss Lake

According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, at approximately 9:00 a.m. on June 16, 2015, the body of a Tennessee man was recovered from Weiss Lake. Early that morning deputies responded to a report of a missing person at a campground near County Road 102 in the Cedar Bluff area. The victim was last seen fishing from a pier at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Monday night. Neighbors were unable to locate the man and became alarmed. Authorities recovered the body of James T. Bradley, 63, of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and members of the Cherokee County Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene.
