Woman Hospitalized After Domestic Situation

  On the morning of June 29, 2014, deputies responded to a call of an altercation at a Gaylesville residence. Upon arrival, officers found the wounded victim and called for an ambulance. The suspect had left the residence but returned and was taken into custody.  Curtis Ray Baker, 59, was arrested and charged with assault and second degree domestic violence. He was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he remains pending a bond hearing.
