According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, the name of the person who died at the Cherokee County Detention Center on Monday has been released.  Shaver states that 38 year old, Brian Lee Hartline, of Sand Rock was in a holding cell at the facility at the time of his death.  Hartline had been arrested approximately 3 hours earlier for public intoxication. The death is being investigated by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation at Sheriff Shaver’s request.
