Firearms Safety Training Class

 

   According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, the Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the District Attorney’s Office and Gadsden State Community College Cherokee are sponsoring a series of Citizen’s Firearms Safety and Training Courses. 

Course Overview

  • Facts regarding new firearms laws
  • How to safely and legally carry firearms
  • How to apply for a concealed weapons permit
  • Get hands on safety instruction from experts
  • Class will include a trip to a firing range for some hands on experience

  The classes will meet on Tuesdays November 5th, 12th, & the 19th, 2013.  The range day is scheduled for November 23rd, 2013.  The classroom portion of this course will be held at Gadsden State Cherokee Campus in Room 103 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.  Preregistration is required.  Please call (256) 927-1806 to pre-register
