According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators have been busy traveling between Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee interviewing persons acquainted with suspected murder victim Vincent Edward Hughes. Hughes’ body was discovered during the early morning hours of April 2nd. Several persons of interest have been detained and are being interviewed. Search warrants have been obtained in an attempt to locate evidence related to this case.
