According to information from Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, two men have been arrested for arson in the Moshat community.  On Saturday, October 27, 2012, at approximately 8:00 p.m., fire fighters with Spring Creek, Centre, and Ellisville Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported structure fire on County Road 83.  Fire fighters arrived to find an abandoned mobile home completely engulfed in flames.  Cherokee County Fire/Arson Investigator Shawn Rogers also responded to the scene.  Two suspects were located inside a residence next to the burned dwelling.  The suspects were identified as 34 year old Jimmy Shane Hunter of Centre and 34 year old Dennis Dewayne Morgan of Leesburg.  Both men were arrested and charged with second degree arson and obstructing governmental operations and are currently being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
