Altercation Leads To Saturday Night Shooting

A Saturday night fight between two men led to one being shot.  According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Road 116 and discovered Terry James Dixon, 33, of Centre, lying on the ground with a shot wound to the leg.  Witnesses at the scene statedDixonand Galvin Christopher Dupree were in a fist fight when Jonathan Jay Crim, 19, of Attalla, pulled a gun and shotDixonin the upper thigh.  According to the report, Crim and Joshua Kashmiri fled the scene and were found at a residence in Cedar Bluff.  Crim was taken into custody and charged with first degree assault. Dixonwas transported to a hospital inGadsdenand treated for his injuries.
