Fugitive arrested

According to Cherokee County Jeff Shaver, agents from the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted by Cherokee County officers executed probation violation warrants originating from Etowah County on Friday, May 25th. Agents obtained information the fugitive was at a residence on County Road 113 in Centre. The resident and the fugitive attempted to flee, and were both taken into custody after a brief pursuit on foot. Greta Lynn Washington, 44, was charged with the original probation warrant, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest. Illya Stephond Henderson, 46, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
