Stolen Vehicle Recovery

According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, 2 stolen vehicles were recovered on the north end of Cherokee County last night.  Deputy Keith Morgan responded to an abandoned vehicle call on County Road 103 and discovered a black 1998 Cadillac, which had been reported stolen from Cave Springs, Georgia.  In the same area,  Deputy Nick Vaughn attempted to stop a black GMC pick-up, and the driver refused to stop.  While turning into a circle driveway, the female passenger was thrown from the truck, and the driver continued to flee.  The injured woman was air-lifted to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Several hours later, Alabama Marine Police Officer Rick Sides located the stolen pick-up on County Road 46.  The keys to the Cadillac and identification belonging to the injured woman were found in the truck.  Authorities are investigating and attempting to identify the driver.
