Sex Offender Captured

According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver; most wanted suspect, Clark Wesley Hutchins, has been captured. On the afternoon of October 13, authorities resumed their search in the area where Hutchins was suspected to be hiding. He was taken into custody without incident. Officers from Leesburg Police Department, Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Etowah County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshall's Gulf Coast Regional Fugitve Task Force, and the Cherokee County District Attorney's Office participated in the manhunt. Hutchins is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000.00 bond on charges relating to transmitting obscene material to a child. Other charges will be possibly filed against Hutchins in Cherokee and Etowah County.
