The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard was established in 2017 under the leadership of Sheriff Jeff Shaver.  The Honor Guard is made up of deputy sheriffs who volunteer their time to participate in community events, parades, and funerals.  The first official function of the Sheriff's Office Honor Guard was to participate in the untimely passing of Probate Judge Kirk Day's funeral.  Chief Deputy Josh Summerford was the charter commander of the Honor Guard.  The Honor Guard deputies take this function very seriously and are proud to be a part of this honorable function.

Lt. Jordan Kelley, Sr. Sgt. Brent Snead, Deputy Kasey West, Deputy Jonah Smith, and Deputy Zonna Green make up the Honor Guard.
